Nintendo Sure Picked The Wrong Time To Show Off The 'Nintendo Switch Sports' Bowling Game

One can imagine the conversation between members of Nintendo's social media team when deciding to post a tweet showing off the features of the bowling game in the company's upcoming Nintendo Switch Sports. It probably went something like this:

Person 1: "It seems 'bowling' is trending on Twitter, let's hop on that."
Person 2: "Perfect, I have just the thing."

Of course, the reason "bowling" was trending on Twitter this Tuesday was a viral, highly NSFW iteration of the bowling alley screen when you get a strike meme, one that scarred seemingly all who came across it. By innocuously showing off the kooky features of Nintendo Switch Sports bowling, Nintendo of Europe either had no idea what it was doing — or it knew exactly what it was doing.

Whatever the case may be, Nintendo certainly earned itself a lot of attention, as the tweet gained thousands of quote-tweets from people aghast at their post along with a reply that Nintendo had to hide because of bowling-related rule 34.

Though Nintendo may have inadvertently put itself at the center of a mass internet traumatization, they have at the very least made thousands aware that they’ll need to skilfully avoid the obstacles to score big in these bowling challenges in Nintendo Switch Sports.
