The Powerpuff Girls - Pan sums up my feelings on this attempt at "gender subtext"

To be completely fair, even well loved shows like TMNT 1980s used a lot of slang that's dated nowadays. Something unintentionally dating itself isn't an inherently bad thing (see: Hey Arnold and the fact Helga's dad owns a beeper emporium), what matters is if the show can still stand on it's own in spite of the aspects that will inevitably date it.

We Bare Bears pretty much dates itself to being a mid-2010s cartoon thanks to things like Panda's social media obsession, characters taking selfies sometimes, and the style of smartphone might become outdated at some point (one episode even has Panda finding an old flip phone of his and pointing out how dated that phone looks nowadays), but what will help it be remembered is stuff like the personalities of the characters, the situations they get into, the writing, and the like.

does Power puff girls really need that in its show? does it really NEED to have a pro transgender episode? not every show is steven universe. its a show about super powered girls punching people and getting into wacky shenanigans that kids get into……but with superpowers. stick to that.
