To be fair, that seems to be the point of view of everybody except french people (as far as I know as a dirty cheese eater myself). We do have some calls to Islamophobia, but I don't think that many people are delusional and are ready to blame anything else than that, the threat is pretty clear, and there is legitimally waves of unjustified violence against Muslims when an attack happens.

As for the "Back to normal" part, well, what can you do? Cower in fear and accept more and more totalitarian measures that won't work anyway? Believe me, our police is active, and we would have been attack way more often if we just let it slide, but there is a point where you can't just sacrifice all your freedom for protection, after that, the state will be given too much power for your own good. That's kinda what is happening here and it's been a hot topic recently.

Don't think we're piss weak and just waiting for the next attack, we know what's happening. And no, kicking every brown guy is not the solution. Most of the terrorists live here and were born french, hell, most of the time, their parents aren't even aware that their son were radicalized somewhere else

As far as I know, we don't really have much SJW, if any (never seen one at least), and political correctness is something that is very often laughed at and impeding the social discourse. I guess it's must be due to our pride, or our irreverance, but it's often seen as a coward thing to not call things for what they are and dancing around the subject.

Which is why I was really surprised when I heard this kind of shit wasn't only happening in America, but in Germany, England, Sweden, etc. It's not the kind of things you hear in the general medias, but still, since the whole shitstorm was brought to my attention thanks to gamergate, I'm still baffled by how far the identity politics game has been allowed to go.

I genuinely thought we were better than this and, that, America being huge melting pot, they were past basic racism and communitarism like that. We are basically back to the sex war and litteral discrimination based on race in some places, and in the long run, this kind of thing might be even more dangerous than direct terrorism.

We aren't perfect, and even thought I said quite a few good things about our government, it's still doing incredibly dumb things and we're struggling not to let it become too oppresive to grand protection, but at least I'm glad this shit doesn't happen here
