As someone who deeply despises Trump and resents the south for contributing to his election, I'm just going to take a second to say that this person is an asshole.

Like for real – people are dying. They don't become less worthy of life just because they voted for a fascist. Oppose their politics, mitigate the harm they do, stand up for yourself when need be, but don't just condemn people to die for no reason. That's fucked.
