HP is OBJECTIVELY jank and RNG as f--- and only bitchy battle sim losers and injectors give enough of a s--- to grind for the right one, as if breeding for the perfect mon was hard enough. It's been SIX years and gamefreak still couldn't find a good way to fit Fairy in, anyways, so might as well chuck it out. Besides, isn't it good to have a nice breath of fresh air to the meta? I think HP was way too centralizing and diminished the unique coverage scope that each learnset has. honestly, i think mons who really needed a specific hidden power should just be given a special move of that type. like instead of hidden power ice, they just straight up get ice beam, for electric it is thunderbolt, etc.

Let's be perfectly honest, Hidden power WAS retarded. It could probably have been fixed, but anything so inherently reliant on RNG to get is poorly designed in the first place. If it's okay for everyone to have, then let everyone have it. If it's not, don't try to use random chances on top of random chances layered 6 turtles deep to try and make a false sense of balance.
