It seems like a long line of misinterpretations has led us to where we are now.

Byleth is announced, angry Smash fans react as expected on chat.
Chat is picked up on other sites, Hoes Mad is launched.
Believing that only FE haters are upset go on the offensive, innocents are attacked.

Even most FE fans seem to agree that more FE characters are not really necessary. Not only is it a very alive franchise, but also, it is not like anyone misses it either.
