Waterwraith - *Dead Pikmin noises

I somewhat wonder if the devs secretly have some kind of deep lore for the wraiths because in Pikmin 3 the plasma wraith being the final boss with a strange affinity for Olimar left me with a lot of questions which the game avoids answering (probably because they want to save it for a sequel, or because Miyamoto likes the idea of keeping something about the series wrapped in mystery).
