It's Saint Peter the Martyr. He was assassinated by getting hit in the head with an axe. He's always portrayed as having an axe or a sword in his head, even when they show him doing mundane stuff like praying. Which, from my understanding, is meant to show his dedication to his cause by reminding us of how he went…but let's be honest, it kinda looks silly after awhile.
