Otherwise, I followed the recipe to the letter. I ended up with a pot of wallpaper paste. Kind of sad. REPLY CAROLYN 01.16.24 at 2:27 pm Condensed milk is a thick syrup and sweet. EatingWell Member 01/12/2025 Should be using steel cut oats instead of rolled oats. Shouldn't be adding maple syrup or peanut butter. For the past year, I've eaten steel cut oats every morning with an egg, avocado, banana, cinnamon, and real vanilla extract and I am no longer pre- diabetic with an A1C of 5.5, my cholesterol dropped 25% to 148, my LDL dropped 45%, my HDL went up 31%. Mine has 19 grams of protein, 18 grams of fiber, and 15 grams of healthy fat (Mono and Polyunsaturated). Helpful (2)
