Annoying roommate behavior in the kitchen

"Last night I was cooking dinner. I put something in the oven, set my timer, and went back to my room to wait for it. My timer goes off so I go back into the kitchen where my roommate is cooking dinner. I see my food that was supposed to be in the oven on the table. My roommate says "was this your food? I needed to turn up the temperature for my food and I didn't want to burn yours so I took it out." I asked "how long ago did you take it out?" she said "20 minutes ago." I check my food and it is completely uncooked. She just took my food out of the oven so she could make her own food. Who does that!!?"

Roommate left the oven on twice this month!

"I don’t think im wrong in saying it's absolutely insane to leave the OVEN ON OVERNIGHT literally TWICE IN 3 WEEKS (one of which she was in another country and not home to touch the oven!!!). For reference were college students in a campus apartment, and I personally would not enjoy it burning down, nor do I enjoy the electric bill we all split equally!! the first time I could laugh at it a little bit bc the idea of going to hot yoga and leaving the oven on is comically stupid, but now that it’s happened again i dont think she understands that it’s completely unacceptable??? idk am I being overly sensitive or something?"

My roommates think bill due dates are “arbitrary”

"It’s week 2 of me asking them to send the utilities money and getting no response, the wifi bill was due on the 2nd (they knew this). Yeah I was being petty and snarky but I’m tired. Anyway this is how the boyfriend chose to respond to my message about paying bills on time. Oh and he’s 30 btw (I didn’t try that number he responded with, if anyone does lmk what it is)"

"I (28m) wanted to do laundry last night, so I opened up the washer and my roommate’s (27f) load was in there, stinking of mildew. For a quick overview, my roommate can be sweet but she is also a slob and inconsiderate. She has eaten my food before, including something I got for my birthday, and apologized but did not replace the food… Anyways, since her clothes were in the washer, I took it out and placed it in the bathtub while I ran my laundry. This is where I noticed my boxers were in her laundry… they’re fairly old/unique but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and checked my drawers and couldn’t find that pair. I also haven’t done laundry in a while so I’m sure I didn’t previously leave them in the washer by mistake. Anywho, being the nice roommate that I am, I re-washed and dried her clothes after my load while she was at work but didn’t say anything to her after. However, I replaced my doorknob and will now keep my door locked when I’m not home. It sad losing basic trust with someone you live with."

My roommate has been trying to break into my room

"I’ve been living in these past couple of months, my roommate who is a 50-year-old man has been at my neck nonstop. I replaced my locks 2 weeks ago because he keeps entering my room. Today I noticed these on my room door, these are clearly knife marks. He won’t leave me alone and idk why. He has Bpd and other mental issues and this is honestly scaring me. Literally yesterday I had to call the cops because he threatened to hurt me because I covered the cameras he has in the living room because I feel so uncomfortable. There’s 3 cameras in one common space, he’s absolutely crazy but that’s a different post. I have a camera in my room but it’s not always on but now I’m going to keep it on 24/7."

Roommate hoards MY silverware in his room.

"my roommate hoards MY silverware in his room in a cup and on his shelves/nightstand. I counted 6 last time I was in his room. he also hoards my dishes every once in awhile but returns those when asked. I’ve asked him multiple times to bring the silverware out but the same ones are always missing. at what point do i just go in his room and take what’s mine? i don’t want to barge in but isn’t it basically stealing to keep my things and not give them back? i don’t have an issue with him using my silverware but I want it washed and put back when he’s done. he also has my candle lighter in his room which I’ve asked for and he hasn’t returned."
