FRESHRO APRIL flours CRV says: April 13, 2021 at 8:36 PM = To make the recipe a bit healthier and have added protein I made a few modifications, but it came out so perfectly and delicious. I used oat flour instead of all purpose, cranberries instead of chocolate chips, I added zucchini to bring it a little added moisture, two packages chocolate brownie protein powder and instead of oil I used 1/2 can of pumpkin. Kim 6 years ago Can you substitute one of the whole kernel corn for creamed kernel corn? and then I see that you said you can double the recipe but can you double it for the regular one instead of a Crock-Pot?..... and you ever use anything other than Saltines? There was no butter in this recipe

Eileen Lynch Nelson 10/27/2024 I tried to make this recipe with almond flour and vegan butter. (I have one daughter who is gluten free and one who is vegan.) The batter was good but when I took it out after 35 minutes it was still batter :( Had to throw it out Helpful (0)

Should have used all lemon extract because this was a waste of my 8 beautiful Meyer lemons. Was adding in the confectioners sugar about a quarter cup at a time, and my hand mixer's motor just died with about a cup left to add. Now my hovering supervisor (just turned 4yo today) is crying because I stopped making his birthday cake. His brother's naptime was the only time I could work on it, and now I'm not sure what to do. ■ Helpful (1)

Chicken at 550?

First, after 30 minutes there was no juice to baste Second, after 40 minutes there was no juice to baste. Finally, after cranking the oven up to max for the last 10 minutes, fat started to render. But it was too late! 350 is much too low to cook chicken. Chicken needs 550. Second that parchment paper seems to suck up all the juice. Bad idea! Third just make curried chicken. This recipe was my first miss on recipetineats. REPLY
