Come Wayward Souls | Songs of the Series | Over The Garden Wall | Cartoon Network

Notes

Published on Oct 28, 2014

Over The Garden Wall is a 5 night mystery adventure starting Monday, November 3, at 7/6c from Cartoon Network! The music is a big part of what makes it awesome, so take a musical peek at Come Wayward Souls, with vocals by Samuel Ramey, composed by Patrick McHale and The Blasting Company. Check out show creator Pat McHale’s commentary:

"When I was in high school I used to drive all around town listening to a cassette of Samuel Ramey's album 'Samuel Ramey as Mefistofele & Other Opera Villains.' He was the only opera singer I knew, and hearing his deep powerful voice booming out incomprehensible foreign words was a kind of escape for me. This song was based around 'O Holy Night.' You can actually sing the lyrics of this song to the melody of 'O Holy Night' and it works."
