The goal of doing a Fan Rewrite of Star Wars: The Last Jedi was to bring some sense to all the characters and events, while trying to mantain the plot, theme, and scenarios that Rian Johnson came up with. The second goal was to maintain lore, consistency, character motivations, backstory, and of course, nostalgia.
