What rookie corporate engineers need to realize is that the consumer base is largely stupid, uneducated and indifferent to technicalities. If your boss can't see the issues it's almost certain that the vast majority of the consumers won't be able to see them either (and those who can won't give enough fucks to explain the concepts to the masses), so you do your best to make a product as close as it can get to the theoretical concept, make a deceivingly complex demonstration of how you achieved it and pray that some rival company engineer will not point out how your science was faulty creating a controversy about how transparent red lines drawn with green ink are carcinogenic and how lines in the form of kittens are the leading cause of diabeetus (also how baloons inflated in the shape of kittens are major contributors to the ozone layer depletion).
