despite not being a very popular reboot, the second game in the series does a ton of things right,
one, it makes dracula do ridiculous s--- like ride rockets, exploding whales of doom being ridden by satan, kill satan, turn alucard into a final boss, have you fight and defeat a belmont for a change, fight the yandere queen of the castlevania universe after surviving a stealth zone where she stalks you while shouting "I can smell you my sweet!"
and a crapton of other over the top things you'd usually see in an 80s action movie, like riding the most holy goddamned autobot in the universe.
despite being the single most over the top CV in existence and memeworthy in its own right, not much is said of this reboot, as it exists primarily in the background of CV culture.
in the end, alucard's dlc was the icing on the cake, a 3d metroidvania slice of excellence that did many things well.
will we see an los3? probably not,
do we deserve to see this title become memetic? yes.
will it?
no, no it won't.
