Surprised Polish Man is a meme that stems from 2011. The facial expression is due to drunkenness at a party. Michal Kozera, a local Polish resident in Ireland, posted the image on a Facebook profile in November 2011, leading to many likes and comments of the humorous manner in which he is posing.

Numerous images have appeared on Memebase and 4chan with the Surprised Polish man appearing randomly in a corner of the image that is either sexually awkward, or just plain strange.
