I am obese and fighting against hormonal problems on daily basis but.... you know... I'm not really bothered by some people who draw skinny Rose. I mean, how is THAT going to change the body positivity of SU? And shouldn't you do the same and attack, then, those who keep drawing skinny characters way larger than they are? Or People without canonical race only with black skin? Or white people tumed in black characters? And before you accuse me of racism let me say I live with a black woman. I can't believe this message is actually in my inbox, but I'm going to address it publicly anyways. 1. Just because you're not bothered by it doesn't mean that other plus- sized/chubby people can't be. Dont invalidate the voices of those who are upset by this. 2. I never said drawing skinny SU characters will change the body positive of the show. I said that it derails and ignores it. Why would I attack anyone who makes skinny characters plus-sized when there's hardly any representation for chubby characters and SO MUCH REPRESENTATION for skinny characters?? If they make skinny characters chubby, there's nothing wrong with that. 3. 4. Why would I attack people who tum unaffiliated or white characters into black character or any other ethnicity when there are more than enough white characters out there ?? If they tum non-POC characters and tum them into POC characters, there's nothing wrong with that. Living with a black woman doesn't give you a pass to make lowkey racist statements or allow your intemalized racism to slide. A lot of what you just said reeks of racism 5. considering ive seen my fair share of 1D fans who fake suicide to get attention/sympathy from the band, anyone associated with the band, or the fandom in general, i think this zamii070 person (from the Steven Universe fandom) is completely and totally faking this suicide story. first thing's first, in her video after her "suicide attempt," she's wearing what appears to be nurse's scrubs, not an actual hospital gown. she's also up against a wall and not in a hospital bed like she should be. on top of that, when she's attempting to cry, you can clearty tell she's faking it, especially since no tears are coming out of her eyes- at all. bullying is a serious issue, don't get me wrong. Ive been bullied just about my entire life and not only thought about committing suicide numerous times, but also tried to overdose once as well. i know how awful bullying makes you feel, but did any of y'all who're kissing her ass ever once consider that maybe - just maybe - she did this to get everyone off her back? if what ive read is comect and she's been criticized for her portrayal of the gems in her artwork, did y'all ever think that maybe she'd pull some outlandish trick to get everyone to feel sorry for her? well, this is her golden ticket out of the hole she's dug herself within the SU fandom. she is literally convincing all of you to believe her story and you're all falling for it. it sucks that you're trying to silence the voices of those who have caught onto the hoax as well, but alas, i will not be silenced. actually, i'm pretty upset that someone feels the need to fake suicide to make their problems go away I'm sorry that youve been bullied, zamii070. it truty does suck. however pretending to commit suicide and guilt-tripping hundreds (if not thousands) of people into believing your story is pretty f----- up and im not about to buy into it. ive seen this happen too many times to fall for another trick- ive seen people fake suicides, fake deaths, and even fake seizures just to get their idols to notice them or to get people to feel somy for them, so im no stranger to this sort of thing and honestly? it's truly disgusting that someone would feel the need to fake suicide in order to gamer some sort of sympathetic reaction from a fandom who called them out for their problematic behavior #steen universe #honesty i dont even care if i get s--- for this or face a major backlash

anonymous asked i can tell you want to do the right thing and i respect your dedication to representation, but what you have to realize is that this girl just. came back from a suicide attempt. she wasn't educated, she was harassed, her pet died, she needs space. and we as a community need to step back from the level of hostility that we're so willing to unleash. i was seeing people just straight up tearing down her art, not even addressing s---. please pull out your sympathy and acknowledge that this was wrong i don't think people should have tore apart her art, because her artwork is actually pretty good. i don't think she should be bullied and harassed to the point of committing suicide or contemplating it. i think people should address her in a polite, yet constructive manner when addressing her problematic behavior however, i still stand by my opinion that she faked the whole thing. i genuinely think (know, actually) that this was all some big stunt meant to get people off her back and to get people to feel sorry for her. her artistic style and talent means absolutely nothing to be if the person behind the art is willing to fake suicide, which is something i take very seriously so while i don't agree with those who aggressively hound her down and tear her a new one, i don't disagree with those who are calling her out on the fact she's probably faking all this. my sympathy only extends so far, especially when so many people are making excuses for her and making the situation that much worse
