I WANT MY SLAW!/ YOU HAVE YOUR SLAW SIR comes from the Invader Zim episode entitled "The Sad, Sad Story of Chicken-Foot." In it, a disgruntled Hobo demands to be presented his cole slaw or "slaw", where in fact the slaw is right in front of him, as the manager tries to tell him.
The meme it's self started on October 14, 2009 on /co/ when a poster credited as President Dog posted a picture from said episode. It then spawned an ongoing debate between disgruntled characters arguing over the existence of their slaw. The meme was so popular that it resulted in a second thread after the maximum 150 image posts was reached.
The meme it's self seems to include the editing of text boxes or word bubbles, and changing any dialogue to "I WANT MY SLAW!" or "YOU HAVE YOUR SLAW SIR!"
