The comic's supporting cast was a bunch of s----- recolors of Knuckles and it really didn't have anything to do with the games, but regardless it was still popular and made some money. Several years later, a fan walks up to Penders at a convention and tells him that he just played Sonic Chronicles: the Dark Brotherhood, and mentions that some stuff was similar to the Knuckles comic because the story invovles echidnas That's where the story should have ended, but two things happened: 1) Ken Penders was an autist, and 2) there was a fire at the Archie offices that destroyed a lot of the contracts they had with their artists, and whoever was in charge at the time had the *brilliant idea that maybe they shouldn't tell their writers and artists unless a legal problem came up. Ken Penders sued Archie and Sega claiming that he owned all of the characters he created while at Archie, and since Archie didn't have the documents they needed to disprove his claim. Sega settled out of court and gave him (almost) everything he wanted His plan was to sell Sega back the rights and make some bank, but they told him to f--- himself. Sega made Archie reboot the comic series without Penders' characters, so now he is using them for his own s----- comic

So this first draft for your cover is everything people hated put together. Brilliant Penders.

This is just incredible.

So this guy said time after time that he was progressive, that he wanted to make his main character a "Strong Female Character" and aimed the comic to young girls, even when as far as I've seen he used to ruin every female character he touched.

After that, he presents this main character wearing -underwear- "sport clothes" on a poster where she is not even the main character. People point out how stupid it is on his part and then he excuses himself saying that "You should look what girls wear at conventions", even going as far as taking photos without permission to show it and everyone loses their s--- and starts criticizing him.

AND THEN, he goes and makes this.

Look Penders, Dodge and Burn is not made to draw. Taking images from a search on Google and cutting them is not how you're supposed to make your comic (Look at that blue line around the waterfall, it's the original background before it was "penderized"), so both the background and that waterfall look really out of place. The text should be easy to read. There's something called Color Coordination and sense of composition...

This is just every single artwork you put in twitter with some kind of filter or effect on it. The only thing that's really new is that "Mykhal Taelor" pose, and that looks hilariously bad.

Unless you were trying to make an homage to the old Mega Man cover art, in which case you still fail because those covers, while bad, are charming and fun to look at.

This is the result of the lawsuit between him and Archie Comics over the characters he created during his tenure as a writer of the Sonic the Hedgehog comics. With recently resulted with mayor rewrites and yes, retcons, in the comic book canon. The fans weren't pleased, to say the least, And this is what he plans to do with his "reclaimed" characters. Yeah.

Now excuse me, but after seeing this I need a drink or two.
