Several years later, a fan walks up to Penders at a convention and tells him that he just played Sonic Chronicles: the Dark Brotherhood, and mentions that some stuff was similar to the Knuckles comic because the story invovles echidnas That's where the story should have ended, but two things happened: 1) Ken Penders was an autist, and 2) there was a fire at the Archie offices that destroyed a lot of the contracts they had with their artists, and whoever was in charge at the time had the *brilliant idea that maybe they shouldn't tell their writers and artists unless a legal problem came up. Ken Penders sued Archie and Sega claiming that he owned all of the characters he created while at Archie, and since Archie didn't have the documents they needed to disprove his claim. Sega settled out of court and gave him (almost) everything he wanted His plan was to sell Sega back the rights and make some bank, but they told him to f--- himself. Sega made Archie reboot the comic series without Penders' characters, so now he is using them for his own s----- comic

I'm not saying all of them were good characters, but there was some memorable ones in there.

But alas, we shall never see them again, good or bad.

Its a 4chan post so it is quite likely they are using the word in the figurative sense and not the literal sense.

Also keep in mind that idiot was also used to describe intellectually disabled people before you cast stones.
