"Sexual Geologist" originated from the picture of Dr. Ross Potter in the field at an outcrop of the K-T boundary. (K-T boundary marks the famous extinction event that killed the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.) This photo was described as "Geology porn at its finest" and has since spurred a collection of sexual innuendo memes that all stem from geology-themed jokes.
