r/SwipeHelper u/YerriPulka 2d S With permanent bans and shadow bans dating apps have become a pain in the rear Got banned from hinge recently and this is my first time getting banned from any of the dating apps. Used hinge for 2 months and it was great for me; had dates; had casual hookups; everything was going good and one day i';m just banned. Lost around 50+ matches/conversations with most of them at the stage of exchanging numbers. Got me thinking what could have led to that and its one of the thing: A - i kept changing my location to different cities through out the country but recently i changed my location to a different country totally just to check out how the chicks are over there B - there were two chicks who were nasty to me in the conversations on the app and i didn't hold back and gave it back to them. Likely that these two snowflakes got their egos bruised and reported me C - i was just trying different lines and told a girl that i'd tie her up and do things to her in the bed. this girl gave me her number and we met and hooked up later, but could hinge systems/moderators monitored the messages and flagged my explicit message as inappropriate? D - A few chicks unmatched me when i didn't suck up to them and pedestalize them. Could they have reported for whatever reason while unmatching me? A One of the above or a combination of the above has got me banned. 2 weeks pass by and i thought i'd create a hinge account again and used a different phone number but the same phone, pics and wifi. I wasn't aware that these dating apps would look too much into all these parameters, only to realize that i was shadowbanned. because i usually get a lot of matches/likes but none this time. Last week i made one more account with a different phone number (different from the 2 previous numbers), new phone, new internet connection, pics with EXIF stripped off. Somehow again the profile is shadowbanned. absolutely no matches. and out of curiosity i tried to check if my previus shadowbanned account could still see the recent profile and no. So what's the deal with these dating apps?? Why are they so trigger happy to ban/shadowban the users?? I am a chill dude who just wants to get some ladies, dont make any trouble and yet i keep getting the short end of the stick. How does me being on the platform a problem to hinge as long as i'm not being violent or abusive to anyone or scamming people. I m still on tinder and bumble but hinge is miles ahead because of the ability to send a message along with showing interest. 3 28 ↑ Share 4
