They must have their webcams on with their microphones unmuted for their full shift. Its the only realistic way we can: 1) Track their toilet breaks. 2) Make sure they are not spending their working time watching adult movies. 3) Make sure they are not babout my management style to their other halves or family dogs. What I didn't know about this lunatic sub thread is that there are so many crayon eating nut jobs that still live in their mum's basement out there. The most ironic thing about the sub thread is the name Linkedln Lunatics, when the sub thread itself is full of them. Anyway I've heard what you all think and with immediate effect banned all WFH. I was able to laugh a little, correct him and go about my day. When this happened with my daughter about 5 years ago, I collapsed into myself like a dying star, cried for two weeks and wrote bad poetry about the hardships of life. I wanted to share some things I've learned. Perhaps it will prevent some collapsing mamma's. 1) Nobody can replace you as the mom. There can only be one, and that's you. 2) Take all the help you can get! Being a mom is a 5 person job. "Hire" well (this includes husband, nanny, babysitter, grandma's) - then delegate. Clear role profiles help. 3) Keep your eye on the metrics. Know the baseline of hours you want to spend with your kids. If you miss your SLO one week, log a bug. If you miss it the next week, escalate the severity. If you miss it again, stop everything, reset, and do a postmortem. 4) Be proud to be a working mom.
