Would it be overkill for me [31F] to break things off with a guy [34M] over not wearing a mask when he said he would? [new] • honeybound · 8 hours ago • relationships • 33% upvoted It's pretty early on, we've been on 3 dates, but I do think he's pretty interesting and we have good chemistry so far. Also, he flew from the Bay Area to another city in the US over the weekend, and is now on his way back here. When he left, I asked him to be really careful of the airports because of the pandemic, I'm personally really interested in not getting it, especially as I've been a smoker in the past and tend to get sick HARD when I get sick. I don't think it's "just the flu" and have been really anxious about it. He's not as worried, but said "yeah, l'll wear a mask". Now he's on his way back and reached out to make plans this week. And I asked him to send me a cute mask selfie from the lane. But he's totally not wearing a mask. And I know masks aren't that preventative in this scenario but they do remind you not to touch your face. And l'm generally feeling really anxious about dating during this, and feel like I'm putting myself at more risk now if I meet up with him. On the one hand, I feel crazy and paranoid, but on the other, I also don't like that he didn't stick to his word while knowing I'm feeling very anxious about this. Would I be totally unreasonable to refuse to see him over this? TL;DR. new guy I've been seeing said he would wear a mask on a plane but then didn't, and I'm feeling anxious about seeing him now, and a bit uncomfortable that he didn't keep his word. Would I be unreasonable to end things over this?

I felt awkward opening the box myself bc if he's proposing he should be giving it to me, right? Turns out it's just a ring box with a note in it saying "haha you thought". I wasn't amused. I was so sad and disappointed. Who does that to someone they've been with for so long? At this point Im not even sure what to do, as he said it was a harmless joke but to me it hurt. Would anyone else take this lightly?
