I came into work this morning in a terrible mood. Walked in the door with little to no sleep, and, I was working with people that I wouldn't exactly take a bullet for. I thought this day was going to be terrible But one of the first few families that I helped had a little kid, about 6 years old dressed in a Batman costume. I'm talking; mask, cape, authentic Batman armor, and even a tool belt. This kid was awesome. So I decided to strike up a conversation with him. I said, "Man! What an honor! I's not every day you get to help Batman!" And he said, "Well thank you! Yeah, Im Batman alright. He even stayed in character?! Hovw could I possibly let this conversation die there? This kid was the real deal. I had to keep going. I asked "What are you doing in a grocery store so early?" he replied, Well I was up late last night fighting crime, so Im pretty tired, but I had to come in and get this..." he handed me a can of silly putty, "..it's to help me fight crime." Now you have to understand. By now, my inner-kid has completely taken over and I'm having a full-on conversation with this kid about him stopping crime. I finally gathered the courage to ask him, . have you seen any villains lately.?" He said, Yeah... I saw the Joker last night.... I asked, "Did you happen to catch him?. And just as I asked that, I happened to glance up at his mom. She has this huge grin on her face. He replied... "You don't see him around here, do you?" Nailed it. I'm thoroughly convinced I got to meet Batman this morning. Either way, this kid is my idol Like Comment Share 64 12
