Why Devil May Cry rules

trilllizard666 Devil May Cry 5 rules because all the playable characters are basically walking incarnations of what everyone thought was f------ cool when they were 12 and making stupid deviantart OCs, but actually refined and realized fully as interesting characters I mean for real, you've got a half demon half human hybrid, descended directly from a rebellious badass demon knight that fought off the entire army of hell, and who he became even more powerful than. He then gets a bunch of demonic weapons, including an entirely new sword that he probably managed to form when he got 200% Mad that has blurring strikes and more little swords that are summoned from his power just for the f--- of it. Then you have his nephew, a mouthy, punkish and hot blooded quarter demon that's now a cyborg because his father tore his goddamn demonic limb off and swiped his dark matter katana that can tear portals between the human and demonic realms open. He's got a bunch of crazy ass cyborg arms that can do things like become remote detonating bombs, fire off into lasers, launch out like rockets, and other crazy s---. And his backstory, in Devil May Cry has him as a former cult's soldier that broke off from the cult because he discovered an evil plan, but mainly because they kidnapped his girlfriend. I mean, come on. Nero broke away from a cult that worshiped a demon, and wielded a katana that his father formerly used, which was restored when he had his demonic awakening And then there's V. Guy who doesn't even wear a shirt, is covered in tattoos, is INFURIATINGLY mysterious, but he's also hilarious cause literally nobody else in the Devil May Cry universe acts like him, reciting poetry from a big hardbound book as he has demons from Devil May Cry 1, or at least of the same species as summons, as he JUST SO HAPPENS TO HAVE NATURALLY WHITE HAIR LIKE THE OTHER PROTAGONISTS HMMMMMMMMM Like if they did this for almost anything else besides Devil May Cry, the baseline of which is "ridiculous anime inspired action game with over the top action" it would've sucked. It would've been f------ laughable Or even for something like Devil May Cry, if it was poorly handled, it would've been embarrassingly bad, but it's not. It f------ rules
