play in a campaign at a library dm runs a interconected three party campaign the villain is a genocidal maniac one of the parties doesn't pick up on the obviously bad noble the other party become agents of the genocidal maniac we learn that the evil noble wants to release an unreasonable ancient evil to commit genocide. we meet the other two parties and the genocidal party doesn't listen they try to release the monster by removing its chain keeping it in place the ancient evil roughly the same CR as an ancient dragon and uses it's breath attack, killing 7 or so party level 4 members the dm rips the dead party members' character sheets with an overexaggerated s----eating grin 5
