My friend has started DMing for us in a new campaigh a couple months ago and so we make our characters. Me: Makes a Druid whose family was killed by Gnolls and is now on a crusade to kill all Gnolls. My friend: Makes a Blood Hunter whose family was killed by Vampires and is now on a crusade to kill all Vampires. My DM's reply fourteen sessions into the campaign when my Druid asks where he can find the Gnolls who slayed his family, "There are many sightings of Gnolls in the west of the region." Also my DM's reply fourteen sessions into the campaign when my friend's Blood Hunter asks him where he can find the Vampires who slayed his family, "There are many sightings of Vampires in the west of the region." Also my DM, "You have gotten terrible visions of a Dark King and an Undead Queen who are leading an army from the west to conquer the land. Their army is also filled with Gnolls and Vampires btw". Also, I can't make next week's session. el l I have a W WI When the power gamer doesn't pay attention. *Note: This actually happened in a game I was a player in. And after missing every session the power gamer came to the last one expecting to get all the milestone XP and to be able to betray the group for infinite power.
