Pedal Power

In Mario Party 1, certain mini-games required you to rotate the analog stick really fast. Given how awkward the N64 joystick is to begin with, this made it all the more difficult and aggravating. Nowhere is this more painfully spotlighted than in Pedal Power. The deal is that you have to get the power on by pedaling (i.e rotate your joystick) before the Boo catches you and you lose. Sounds simple, but you have to pedal fast as f--- and there's no room for error. As a kid I spent ages on this part as you needed to complete it to advance on Mini-Game Island, and that damn Boo caught me every time. The stressful music doesn't help either. To this day I haven't been able to complete Mini-Game Island because of this. Even computer players can't beat it. (Also, repost?)

hetriedtokillme-w-a-forklift and a friend were talking about video games and we g ot to the So me subject of how weird it is that in Smash Bros, your objective is to fight each other and by the end of it you and the other players end up being really good friends, but in Mario Party where your objective is to play games with each, you end up looking at each other like "If you steal my star one more goddamn time I swear I will stab you while you sleep!" I mean, hav e you ever thought about how weird that is?
