hetriedtokillme-w-a-forklift and a friend were talking about video games and we g ot to the So me subject of how weird it is that in Smash Bros, your objective is to fight each other and by the end of it you and the other players end up being really good friends, but in Mario Party where your objective is to play games with each, you end up looking at each other like "If you steal my star one more goddamn time I swear I will stab you while you sleep!" I mean, hav e you ever thought about how weird that is?

Cartoon violence being honest cartoon violence is far more enjoyable than an arms race of sabotage and dumb luck pretending to be a friendly contest of skill.
also in smash bros you can at least beat the shit out of someone in-game for being an ass
