Literally unwinnable
![Supper Mario Broth @MarioBrothBlog In the original WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames, some microgames literally force the player to lose on higher speeds by providing no win condition whatsoever, making failure the only option. In the WarioWare series, difficulty is achieved by increasing the speed of the microgames. While the game's goal is to make a player lose by increasing the difficulty until a regular human can no longer keep up, newer games in the series make sure that even at the highest speed, microgames remain at least theoretically completable, even if they would require unreasonably quick reaction times to do so. However, in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames, the first game in the series, some microgames become literally impossible to win at higher speeds, by giving a player no way to win them by performing any input. As such, even a perfect player is forced to lose these microgames. Land it! The "Guy Scraper" microgame consists of an acrobat jumping onto a trampoline, and then bouncing off to land on a human pyramid. The screenshots show a typical sequence of events. The player has no control over how quickly the acrobat jumps and falls, only being able to control his trajectory laterally. When the acrobat touches the blue board, the game is won. Source: youtube.com user @IcySpeedruns, youtube.com/watch?v=FMSSK2105g However, when the speed is high enough, the game simply ends before the acrobat has the chance to land on the board. The screenshot shows the frame on which the game ends (note the Wario border closing in). The acrobat simply cannot reach the board no matter what inputs the player makes, making it impossible to win.](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/002/666/654/71b.png)

The Wario Zodiac
![TEMP Supper Mario Broth @MarioBrothBlog The "Seeing Stars" microgame in WarioWare: Get It Together features Wario-themed Zodiac constellations. A notable amount of thought was put into the microgame, as it also depicts Ophiuchus, the 13th constellation of the ecliptic that is excluded from the Zodiac. Details in image. The microgame features the twelve regular Zodiac signs: Gemini 1838,66 Aries Leo Taurus Sagittarius Virgo Libra One image represents Ophiuchus, "the Snake-Bearer". The Zodiac as a way of dividing the year is a formalized simplification of the Sun's path through the sky, called the ecliptic. While the Zodiac divides the ecliptic into 12 equal parts, representing the signs, the actual ecliptic passes through 13 constellations instead. The last one, not represented in the Zodiac, is Ophiuchus. CITIZE Aquarius Scorpio Capricom However, in addition, two other constellations are represented which reveal a surprising amount of attention to detail on part of the developers: "Orion's Belt" Cancer Pisces Orion The final image represents Orion. While Orion is a commonly known constellation, its connection to the Zodiac is that is the closest constellation to the ecliptic without touching it. While the Sun never passes through Orion, other planets in the solar system, which are also in the same plane, can sometimes be seen in it. Instead of representing the mythical hunter Orion, here, the shape of the constellation is represented as a bag of coins.](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/masonry/002/611/894/45b.png)
