"I will show you... the greatest nightmare!"

Namco deserves a 2nd rep just as much as Capcom AND we could use another villain character in the game... so here's Nightmare! His main outfit would be the design in this image (from SC5) and two of his alternate costumes would be of the past wielder of Soul Edge, Siegfried: one in his armor (from SC4) and one of him partially corrupted by Soul Edge (from SC2) Standard-B "Stance Swing" = A vertical sword sweep that hits above as well as in front, and goes all the way around when done in the air. When done on the ground, pressing in a direction during the attack puts Nightmare in one of three stances that can lead to other unique attacks. Side-B "Bloody Jade Impact" = A forward dash with Nightmare's demonic arm. Holding B turns the move from a ramming attack that knocks the foe sideways into a grab and energy blast that launches them upward. Up-B "Soul Slash" = A jump and a front-flip slash, hitting a wide radius and unleashing an energy blast upon landing on the ground. Has more vertical movement than horizontal. Down-B "Soul Wave" = An energy blast all around Nightmare that damages opponents in a wide radius but does not make them flinch. With good timing, Nightmare can avoid flinching from an incoming attack or even deflect projectiles with this move. Can also be done from any stance.

Dear lord, if ever there were a voice I could fu--... nevermind. Anyways, since "The Kid":https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/979089-super-smash-bros-4-character-announcement-parodies doesn't talk in Bastion, and all of his actions 'n thoughts as well as the story are narrated by Rucks, he would narrate The Kid's actions and performance (and the battle as a whole) in Smash. He would say things for him dealing/receiving heavy hits, edge guarding, taunting, KOs/Falls/Suicides, _occasional_ description of The Kid switching weapons (every time would be overkill), stock/score advantages/disadvantages, etc. Lots of witty stuff, too, with jokes about "no items, Fox only, FD", any combatant using certain items, whenever a player is eliminated, The Kid getting rekt or rekking others, "Kid just rages for a while" if The Kid spams an attack, etc. Rucks was one of the earlier DLC Announcer/Mega Kill Packs for Dota 2 and he is *fantastic.* With a visual overhaul for the game included I could see him being a DLC Announcer for Smash, too.

I made this and "the accompanying pic":https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/979090 probably 3-4 months ago? Egh. I made this and meant to upload immediately but left the job unfinished... -...just like my playthrough of Bastion...- The Kid from Bastion makes almost too much sense to me for a Smash character. He has a plethora of melee and ranged weapons he could swap between (many being their own moves) with incredibly different uses: the War Machete for rapid strikes, Cael Hammer for power & launch, Brusher's Pike for reach (throwable); Fang Repeater for rapid ranged damage, Breaker's Bow for sniping, Scrap Musket for close-range interrupt, Dueling Pistols for mid burst, Army Carbine for slow charging snipe nukes, Flame Bellows for... fire, Galleon Mortar for skilled range AoE, and the Calamity Cannon for *EXPLOSIONS*. As for a final smash, the Battering Ram with its special Colossal Smash that causes fiery projectiles to fall from above in an AoE would work (it's also the only two-handed wep, and appears only in the final stage). Also, the Bastion world fits perfectly for stages seeing as the maps there are floating masses of land that procedurally fall into place as you approach the edge as long as the path continues. Lots of smashable bits and stage hazards, too. This makes for a *perfect* Smash stage. The Bastion itself could make a good "Omega" stage as well, I reckon. For stage music, well, *Bastion's soundtrack is goddamn beautiful.* Can't go wrong.
