Chick-fil-A, the fast-food chain best known for its chicken sandwiches and anti-LGBTQ stances, is ceasing charity donations to the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, two organizations that have made controversial statements on homosexuality in the past.

On Monday, Chick-fil-A stated they would focus on giving more money to a smaller number of charities, ending their charity agreements with the two organizations. The Salvation Army, which has had a history of discriminating against transgender families, stated that they were saddened by the decision, adding "we serve more than 23 million individuals a year, including those in the LGBTQ+ community.” The Fellowship of Christian Athletes has made employees sign contracts barring them from "homosexual acts."

Naturally, this decision did not sit well with people invested in supporting the politics of Chick-fil-A, claiming they were kowtowing to a "liberal outrage mob."

Others, however, were excited about Chick-fil-A's decision, because at the very least it signaled that they could lift their boycotts of the restaurant.

No word yet on how noted Chick-fil-A enthusiast Kanye West is handling the news.
