Chris Pratt Seems To Be Ruining Everyone's Day With Instagram Post About His Second Wife

Chris Pratt, the once-loveable all-American dweeb turned ubiquitous irritation, has apparently riled up social media after a post celebrating his second wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, went viral online.

At first glance, this seems perfectly fine. Pratt is showing appreciation for Katherine Schwarzenegger, his second wife, which is a normal "nice husband" thing to do. However, details in his tribute raised red flags for many users.

Pratt, perhaps self-deprecatingly, voiced his appreciation for how Schwarzenegger "helps me with everything." In return, Pratt says, he "periodically opens a jar of pickles. That’s the trade." He also praised how Schwarzenegger's heart is "pure" and "belongs" to him. He also says, "It’s her birthday in about 6 weeks. So if I don’t get her anything, I’ll tell her to look back on this post." All of this gave readers the impression that Pratt was leaning into a "deadbeat husband" stereotype.

Still, no comment was as scrutinized as what Pratt said about his and Schwarzenegger's daughter. "(Schwarzenegger’s) given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter," he wrote.

While this seems like an innocuous comment out of context, it reminded many that Pratt has another child from his previous marriage to Anna Faris that was born prematurely and has serious health issues. The idea that Pratt was praising Schwarzenegger for "giving" him a "healthy" baby rubbed many the wrong way, leading to an outpouring of discussions about it.
