Chris Pratt Voices Everyone refers to a series of memes that imagine actor Chris Pratt being hired to voice various characters, which he would be a poor fit for. The memes were inspired by two announcements that Pratt would be voicing Mario and Garfield that took place within the span of several weeks.
On September 23rd, 2021, during a Nintendo Direct presentation, the cast of the upcoming Super Mario Bros. film was announced, with American actor Chris Pratt voicing Mario. The announcement inspired viral discussions, with many users disagreeing over the choice of Pratt for the role. Five weeks later, on November 1st, 2021, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Chris Pratt was cast as the voice of Garfield in an upcoming Garfield movie (tweet shown below). The news again was met with viral discussions over the choice of the actor for the role.
Within 30 minutes of The Hollywood Reporter's tweet, Twitter users @hopequinzell, @jeremysmiles and @SmoshIan made the earliest three viral jokes about Chris Pratt voicing various characters, with the posts gaining over 43,100 likes, 26,100 likes and 16,100 likes in two days, respectively (shown below).
In the following hours on November 1st, 2021, jokes about Chris Pratt voicing various characters achieved viral presence on Twitter, with multiple users posting their versions of the meme. For example, on November 1st, Twitter user @Pt6Confirmation posted a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure meme that gained over 2,000 retweets and 14,500 likes in two days (shown below, left). On the same day, Twitter user @bucumberr posted a Genshin Impact version that gained over 4,100 retweets and 39,000 likes (shown below, right).
In early November 2021, more viral versions of the meme were posted on Twitter.
