For over a decade now, the rallying cry of Community fans has been "six seasons and a movie," a hope for the show's longevity that developed out of a swift one-liner during its second season. The show gamely muscled its way to six seasons, albeit with a fraction of its original cast and a network change by the end, before concluding seemingly for good in 2015.

That was until this morning, when much of the show's original cast celebrated that Community was getting its long-promised movie on NBC's streaming service, Peacock.

Details about the ultimate production are scant right now, as there is no release date or timetable for the production of the Community movie. However, Variety confirmed that much of the original cast will be returning, including Joel McHale, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash and Ken Jeong. Yvette Nicole Brown joined in the social media festivities, but it's unconfirmed if she'll return as Shirley.

That leaves two members of the original cast whose status for the film is up in the air. It's a safe bet that Chevy Chase won't be returning, as he had a fairly public falling out with the show and his character, Pierce Hawthorne, is canonically dead. As for Donald Glover, Community served as his breakout show, and he's since gone on to superstardom as Childish Gambino and the star and creator of Atlanta. It is unknown if he is returning.

Fans of the series can turn to Joel McHale's celebratory tweet of the announcement for optimism. McHale tagged both Brown and Glover among other confirmed returning castmates. He also tagged The X-Files and The Crown star Gillian Anderson instead of his actual Community co-star Gillian Jacobs, which Anderson took in good humor.

Regardless of whether the film brings back the original cast (or replaces Gillian Jacobs with Gillian Anderson), fans can likely expect a solid movie, as even without the first four seasons' cast (or budget), seasons five and six of Community still reviewed well thanks in large part to Dan Harmon's writing — and Harmon will serve as writer and executive producer of the Community movie.

Throughout its run, Community spawned a slew of notable memes, ranging from I'll Allow It and The Darkest Timeline to Streets Ahead and the famous Spanish Rap, many of which are still being used to this day. If that's anything to go off, maybe the movie will add to the show's modest collection of memes when it releases.
