Renowned adult animator Derpixon has announced a long hiatus from content creation after years of numerous viral works, and her fans are showing support on social media, as well as mourning the loss of Rule 34 content.

The animator made the announcement on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday morning, writing that she would close her Patreon, remain mostly inactive for a "long time" and that she has no major projects in the works.

Derpixon got her start on Newgrounds back in 2014. Over the past decade, she's become notably famous for her high-quality adult animations, including titles like Mime and Dash, FandelTales and Party Games.

These animations have inspired a wide variety of memes and fan art based on her characters, including 2021's "Mime Thinking Hard" meme.

Derpixon's animations boast millions of views across social media platforms, and she has over 8,700 paid members on her Patreon at the time of writing.

In her hiatus announcement post, Derpixon claimed that she was taking a break because of "a mix of burnout, health, and other priorities."

The announcement has resulted in an outpouring of support from Derpixon's fans, who are wishing her the best and spreading the news online through memes and other reactions.

On Reddit, several memes have gone viral on subreddits like /r/DankMemes and /r/Memes, expressing their sadness over the animator's hiatus.

As of two days after the initial post, it remains unclear exactly how long this hiatus will last.
