New York Post Inspires Facepalms After Claiming Leonardo DiCaprio Is 'Unrecognizable' In Set Photo
This is certainly one way to rack up engagement numbers.
NYC tabloid the New York Post has spent the morning courting dunks and owns online after claiming a picture from the set of the new Martin Scorsese film Killers of the Flower Moon features an "unrecognizable" Leonardo DiCaprio. See if you can recognize DiCaprio in the picture:

Sure, he may look a little older and a bit more gaunt than we're used to seeing him, but there's no denying that the man on the right is undoubtedly DiCaprio (unless he's the woman in the picture, Lily Gladstone. Now THAT would be unrecognizable).
Impressive actor transformations can be exciting—Chistian Bale has done it multiple times —but Leo's appearance here probably doesn't qualify. The headline led people to theorize that the Post was either reaching too far or purposefully trying to generate rage clicks.
both of these headlines, which were specifically designed for a quote tweet dunk, almost got me today. i thought better of it and decided to move on with my day. posting this for transparency pic.twitter.com/KBFZXk9L0E

He must be the person in the left if he’s unrecognizable because the person on the right looks exactly like Leonardo DiCaprio. https://t.co/iy0Znlniaq

Killers of the Flower Moon just began filming, meaning a release date isn't imminent. Indiewire theorized that there's a chance it could be released during the holidays of 2021, but more likely will be released in 2022.
