Sarah Cooper Lipsyncs Her Way Into Netflix Deal
Comedian Sarah Cooper, best known for sketches in which she lipsyncs to President Donald Trump, has scored a deal to create a Netflix special.
The special, titled Sarah Cooper: Everything's Fine will be directed by Natasha Lyonne and executive produced by Maya Rudolph. It is set to air this fall.
Cooper's Trump lipsyncs have made her a star among some liberals, particularly older ones and those in comedy who have been struggling to satirize the President for nearly four years. Her star has risen in the time of coronavirus due to her low-budget sketches, which the New York Times praised for exposing Trump's bluster by divorcing it from his spectacle. Cooper's comedy is so beloved by this demographic that when Trump moved to ban TikTok, some assumed it was to stop Cooper from mocking him.

POTUS head! PSSST! Hey dipshit! Sarah Cooper does her #Trumpisms on more platforms than just #TikTok. Whatcha gonna do? Ban ALL social media??? #PutinWannaBe— Michelle (@TheRealChell) August 1, 2020
However, not everyone is a fan. Writing in MEL Magazine, Miles Klee noted how Cooper's target audience was Boomers, and non-boomers found themselves irritated by Cooper's mimicry.

There's trepidation for Cooper's new special when it arrives, but one thing's for sure: it will definitely have an audience.
