'The Boys' Highly Explicit 'Herogasm' Episode Lived Up To Fan Expectations, Kicking Off Reactions And Memes Online
The sixth episode of the third season of The Boys had a lot of expectations from fans going off just its name alone — "Herogasm." If you haven't seen it yet, be wary of minor spoilers below.
Fans of the series that have read the source material will instantly remember that name, as it is a prominent event within the series that sets into motion a large amount of the endgame plot, and that's exactly what started to show itself in the show.
With so many moving parts and flashy effects going off at one time, there was a lot for fans to pick as their moment to dissect on social media, but one of the biggest moments didn't even come from the Herogasm event itself, instead, it was Black Noir's immediate absence from the show following the Soldier Boy reveal.

Fans were also swooning over Soldier Boy and his actor, Jensen Ackles, who had a significant amount of screen time. This screen time was used very effectively, giving him a lot of moments to air his character out, explore the past of Soldier Boy deeper, as well as have plenty of jokes about how antiquated the hero truly is in the modern time.
With immediate payoffs that were set up just an episode before, fans were quick to post more about the character and their favorite actor via reactions and memes.

As usual, fans compiled another compilation of spoilers without context images, which are paramount in a series like The Boys where so much unexpectedness can happen from one episode to the next. At the same time, the episode inspired a lot of people to create more generalized memes about the show and how superior it is to other ones in the superhero genre, as well as taking a shot at Gal Gadot's "Imagine" video.
