YouTuber Cr1tikal Releases Comic Book 'Godslap,' Instantly Sells Out
Well-known YouTuber, Twitch streamer and TikTok star Cr1tikal has announced the pre-orders for a comic book, titled Godslap, that he and his friends helped create. The announcement was done on his YouTube channel, with the announcement video itself receiving 1.5 million views in under 24 hours.
On his Twitter, Cr1tikal tweeted out the website "godslapbook.com" and expressed his excitement at being able to share a year's worth of work with his fans.

When the comic book was announced and the website was shared, there were four different print covers available for the prologue issue: standard, minimalist holographic, limited edition variant one drawn by Vincent Riccardi and limited edition variant two drawn by John Silva. Within hours of the initial tweet, both limited edition variants were completely sold out. Later that day, the Twitter account @GodSlapOfficial, which was made earlier that month for the comic book, tweeted out that the demand was "insane," prompting a restock and second drop of limited edition covers to be done.
Thank you to everyone for the incredible support today. Due to insane demand, we will be doing a final restock of the limited edition covers tomorrow at 7pm EST (07.06.21). This will be the final opportunity to grab some fantastic limited edition covers of the GodSlap prologue! pic.twitter.com/5RXgam1C3M

The restock happened the next day, as planned, but within one hour those restocked limited edition covers were also completely sold out, as noted by the GodSlapOfficial Twitter page.
We have now completely sold out of the @vinartwork limited edition cover. Thank you and congratulations to everyone who grabbed a copy!
For those who missed out on that particular cover, we still have posters readily available for pre-order on the site! https://t.co/yGQw6wBguG— GodSlap (@GodSlapOfficial) July 7, 2021
Online responses to the surprise comic book drop have been extremely positive. Cr1tikal has always been a large advocate of slap fights, and so him doing something slapping-related struck a chord with his audience. The official @GFuelEnergy account, which is a sponsor of Charlie's Twitch channel, replied to the initial thread with a GIF from the Chappelle Show, summing up the excitement of the audience in one word.
