Memes in 2010: Downfall

In April, YouTube turned into a battleground of copyrights and fair use doctrine when hundreds of "Downfall" parody videos were taken down on behalf of the German production studio Constantin Films.

In a special two-part KYM episode, Internet scientists Elspeth & Yatta explain how Constantin’s attempt has only drawn more attention to the meme and how to dispute a wrongful copyright claim on YouTube.
