I mean, come on, if China had warned the US about the tragedy, and the US had prevented it, there would have been no tragedy for China to warn about in the first place, so the US wouldn't have been warned about the tragedy and thus wouldn't have been able to prevent it, so it would have still happened anyway. That's, like, space-time continuum 101; preventing an event also means preventing yourself from preventing it. What do they teach kids at schools these days?!

You know, as stupid as this is, it sounds like it would make for an interesting speculative fiction concept.
What if UTC were the only time zone in the present, and every other time zone was offset a certain number of hours into the past or future? How would this affect international relations, and the world as a whole?
