Zoot Suit Samus is an art trend which draws Samus Aran from Metroid wearing a zoot suit, either with or without her power armor. The trend started in February of 2025 on BlueSky.
Origin
The trend started on BlueSky on February 19th, 2025, when farfin[1] posted the text "zoot suit samus". On February 22nd, 2025, BlueSky user Casey Explosion[2] quote reposted the text with a crudely-drawn artwork of Samus Aran wearing a zoot suit over her power armor (shown below) with the text "Fine, zoot suit samus. this is bad, please someone do better".
However, this has not been the first instance of Samus being drawn in a zoot suit. Earlier examples (shown below) were posted on sites such as Tumblr as early as 2015.[3]
