It's just one level, but it's also a massive one that deviates from the Mario series's usual art style.

Most of the levels we know of so far are inhabited by cartoony creatures, but New Donk City is so far the only level in a mainstream Mario game that is inhabited by realistically-proportioned humans, which was previously unheard of.
