Unfortunately, if you're looking to import them that's kind of how it is. The anime market in Japan is so fucked, basically because of a fundamental misunderstanding of piracy. Publishers found out people were pirating DvD and later Blu-ray releases of shows, so they upped to price to make back the "lost" income from piracy, which naturally turned more people off of buying it, and so on and so forth. Now the home release anime economy is basically entirely reliant on whales.

If you want to get anime on blu-ray at any reasonable you kind of have to hope for a localized release with a publisher sane enough to not price match Japanese releases. Good news is Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency got a western release that was very nicely priced, but the bad news is the quality of it was not amazing and they also haven't even gotten around to putting out Stardust Crusaders yet.

You could always be "part of the problem" like everyone else and find batch releases of the blu-ray versions on the usual torrent sites in the meantime.

A term for consumers willing to put out ridiculous amounts of money for a product, often such high prices that the whales along can keep the industry afloat. Home release of anime in Japan would die off or have to have drastic price changes without people willing to buy tons of series at $30-50 per episode to get it on blu-ray.
