Good to see physics is taking it's toll for the cockroach.

Mostly physics. If you keep something the same shape while making it bigger, weight grows a lot faster than height does while the structure (in this case, the cockroach's exoskeleton and body) remains similar. The end result is the body crushes itself to death like a beached whale once it gets too big to support itself.
