I had seen this argument before. but there is fact that even if we all agree to increase the overall price, the publisher would still would still use as many if not more scummy monetization methods after that.

Many games from the big publishers are in reality free to play already that ask you 60$ upfront to play.

Not to mention why should WE pay more for less product? Tell me with a straight face that you would had paid more than 60$ for something like Anthem or Fallout76.

Also, cry me a river. The people on top are giving themselves millions in bonuses while laying off hundreds of employees.
