Hey fellow historymemers I hope you enjoy my meme about the perils of invading Russia in the winter. Unfortunately friend it appears you've used the flag of the Russian Federation which didn't exist until 1991, mistakes happen though, I just hope this serves to inform you in future. It should also be noted that other factors played a part in the failure of Operation Barbarossa, poor strategic planning prevented the German army from accomplishing their objectives and a refusal to allow retreat led to many units being wiped out in their entirety. I'm afraid that like so many people, you're sorely mistaken my friend, it wasn't the winter that stalled the French or German advance into Russia, but rather Rasputitsa, the rainy season, which caused supply lines to become bogged down in the mud and left soldiers desperately unprepared for the coming Soviet counter offensives.
