A handsmaid's tale is the odd one out here.
The others are good, while that one is a bloated mess of incoherent ideas written by a hack and likely only proffered because it presents some distance fear of distributions and reactionaries charging out of the wheat fields to drag people back to a distant vision of christian morality that might never have been.

the single truth is we live in the same hell we always have, and it's the stupid machinations of the middling maudling minds of middle class intellectuals.

How about we switch it out for Cat's Cradle. It may not be a dystopian novel but god damn it reality turned Vonnegut when nobody's looking.
